Policy and Advocacy
Since there is no one department, organization, or agency responsible for afterschool and summer programming in Maryland, MOST plays a key role in connecting systems, programs, and resources. With the Maryland Coalition for Community Schools (MD4CS), MOST supports the alignment of community schools and out-of-school time initiatives.

Our policy work has focused on:
- Advocating for expanded funding for afterschool and summer programming and community schools.
- Supporting increased awareness, coordination, and collaboration across systems.
MOST organizes several events each year to educate and engage a variety of audiences and participates in a wide variety of coalitions and committees to support connections across youth issues.
