Partnerships

The Maryland Out of School Time Network is powered by partnership and collaboration with youth-serving organizations here in Maryland and across the country. We encourage and foster partnerships between organizations and believe in the power of collective action to build momentum and make progress in the youth development field.

Here are some of the many ways we build and participate in partnership.

  • AmeriCorps VISTA Sponsorship – MOST currently partners with more than thirty organizations serving as a sponsor for AmeriCorps VISTA projects. We view our VISTA project sites as critical partners and we make every effort to build cross project collaboration through our cohort training and resource sharing. • Learning Communities – Each year, MOST offers Professional Learning Communities on specific content areas. Learning Communities provide a deep dive perspective and operate in a cohort model usually over six months to a year. Learning Communities are recruited through Requests for Applications which are posted to our website and newsletter.
  • Networking Events – Pre COVID-19, MOST and our sister organization Maryland MENTOR were hosting quarterly Youth Development Happy Hours to provide informal networking opportunities for the field moving around the state to reach as many communities as possible. We have continued to convene virtual in Town Halls and Listening sessions. Check our Calendar for upcoming network opportunities.
  • Information & Resource Sharing – We welcome organizations submitting content for our newsletter including special events, job postings, opportunities to partner and other resource sharing. The newsletter is sent every two weeks and gets posted on our news page on the website. Submit your newsletter items to mdoutofschooltime@gmail.com
