Strong schools are rooted in a simple but powerful belief: every student and family deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and safe. Achieving this is not automatic, and it requires intentional effort, collaboration, and perseverance.

Today, more than ever, schools and districts need strategies to foster care, safety, and belonging, especially for immigrant and refugee students and families.

That’s why IEL invites you to join its two-day virtual institute and six-month community of practice, where you’ll gain tools, knowledge, and connections to strengthen your school community.

Format

  • Institute Sessions: 2 days on Zoom (3 hours each)
  • Follow-Up Sessions: 6-month virtual community of practice to pilot, refine, and receive feedback on your implementation.
  • Resource Hub: Access to the Participate learning platform to exchange resources, curate ideas, and build connections.
